indian inning
India beat West Indies by 125 runs in their World Cup Cricket Match 2019 at Old Trafford, Manchester. The West Indies were all out for 143 in 34.2 overs. India ended its first innings at 268/ 7 in 50 overs. MS Dhoni's fifty took India to its final total, Hardik Pandya also contributed a significant 48 runs. Indian Skipper Virat Kohli was undoubtedly the pillar of India's innings with his 72 runs. After Rohit Sharma got out early, KL Rahul helped Virat Kohli to build India's innings. However, Rahul got out and he was followed quickly by Vijay Shankar and Kedar Jadhav. Virat Kohli has broken a world record by becoming the fastest batsmen in the world to score 20,000 International runs, faster than legends Sachin Tendulkar and Brian Lara. The only unbeaten team, India will look to continue 27-year-long winning streak against West Indies. India vs West Indies World Cup cricket match will be played at 3 pm IST at Old Trafford, Manchester. Can India take advantage of the used wicket?

West Indies innings.

India's 268 for 5 looked par on this Machester wicket but the Asian giants came out and bowled with a lot of intent to make light work of their defence. A collective bowling effort saw West Indies bowled out for 124. India's 144-run win has ended West Indies chances of qualifying for the semi-final. On the other hand, India are a step closer to the semi-finals with 11 points from 7 matches.

Mohammed Shami does it. He gets his 4th wicket -- a bouncer to remove Oshane Thomas. India clinch a 125 run win. They go up to 11 points from 6 matches and inch closer to the semi-final. Meanwhile, West Indies chances are over. After their win over Pakistan in their opener, they haven't managed to win even one. Another disappointing show with the bat today.

Kemar Roach and Oshane Thomas are not going down without a fight. A couple of tight chances but the two are getting out some good hits. In fact, the stand for the 11th wicket reads 11 runs from 18 balls. Time for pacers to be back into the attack?
Sheldon Cottrell provided some good entertainment with the bat as well. He smashed Yuzvendra Chahal for a huge six after hitting a boundary against the leg-spinner. However, Chahal gets revenge with a wrong'un. He is trapped in front for 10. And Mohammed Shami does the Cottrell salute to celebrate the wicket.
It's all but over for the West Indies, in this match and in World Cup 2019. Shimron Hetmyer, their last recognised batsman, chips one straight to the point fielder and gifts Mohammed Shami another wicket. West Indies are staring at a huge defeat. India have been clinical on the field so far. Pacers, spinners, medium-pacer... everybody among the wickets.
